Red rose

Almost everyone loves to receive a delivery of flowers. When you send flowers to someone that you care for, they realise that the moment that the flowers arrive. Women in particular enjoy when a man sends her a flowers.

The following tips and advice are particularly aimed at men that are considering having flowers delivered to the lady in their lives.

Flower Delivery - Tip 1

Most women have a favourite flower, or flowers. If you know what it is (or are) send it in her favourite colour. If you don't know, roses and orchids are generally well-received but be warned lilies seem to have a love/hate relationship with women.

Sending Flowers - Tip 2

Don't stick to Tip 1 all of the time. By sending a variety of flowers you will learn which are her favourites and which flowers she detests. In that way you

will know what flowers to have delivered on the very special occasions. Also note that different flowers symbolise different things. To send the most appropriate flowers see flower meanings.

Having Flowers Delivered - Tip 3

Every so often - but not too often - have flowers delivered to her in work. She is guaranteed to beam broadly and her work colleagues will be so envious. Make sure to tell the florist to send an arrangement that is self-contained in its' own water supply. Don't go over board in terms of the size of the bouquet as she will want to get them home in tact.

Flower Delivery - Tip 4

All florists have a cut-off order time for same-day flower deliveries. For most Irish florists this is around midday so make sure to get your order in before noon if you want your flowers delivered that day.

Sending Flowers - Tip 5

Don't just send flowers on special occasions such as Valentine's Day and birthdays. Surprise you woman by sending flowers out of the blue. She will love the spontaneity - but only so long as you don't overdo it by sending flowers too often or too regularly.

Having Flowers Delivered - Tip 6

When you're having your flowers delivered make sure to include a card with a personal message. Try to be a little bit creative and come up with something a bit different. If you are having difficulty coming up with something a bit different then search online. You're bound to find something appropriate. Try not to pick something too lengthy as most message cards are not much bigger than the size of a business card.
