Irish Florists > Floristry > Flower Shapes Flower ShapesWhen creating a flower arrangement the choice of the shapes and textures of the flowers used is just as important as the choice of colours. There are blooms that have such dramatic shapes and identities that are best presented singly or in small clusters of identical flowers. For example a tall vase of imposing lilies would not be enhanced by the addition of, say, cow parsley. Other less stately flowers require the company of other flower types to supplement and enhance their appearance. When a variety of blossoms is to be used in a flower arrangement great care and consideration should be taken when selecting appropriate flower shapes and textures.
